Grassroots Grant Assistance Project (GGP)

The Government of Japan, through its Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago is currently accepting applications under the Grassroots Grant Assistance Project (GGP), for the fiscal year 2017. This project is intended to offer financial assistance for the development of projects, especially those projects that are proposed by non-profit organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), schools, hospitals and local government authorities designed to benefit communities at the grassroots level. The ceiling for one project is US$90,909. for the fiscal year 2017.

Vincentians Recruited to the Royal Navy

One hundred and eighty-one Vincentian nationals have passed the Royal Navy Recruitment Test. So far, fifty invitations have been issued for potential recruits to go to the U.K.

Milton Cato Memorial Hospital Receives Diaspora Donations

The Milton Cato Memorial Hospital on Thursday 12th January, received a donation of 18 hospital beds, 200 sheet sets and several cases of adult diapers through the Vincentian High Commission in London as well as the office of the Consul General in Canada. The donations will benefit the newly renovated Female Surgical Ward.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has ratified the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA)

Saint Vincent & the Grenadines has ratified the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), making it the 106th WTO member to do so. Only four more ratifications from members are needed to bring the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) into force.
