Monthly Radio Broadcast – Youth Now
The Department produces a monthly radio programme entitled "Youth Now". This programme is aired every second Saturday of each month on the National Broadcasting Corporation, Radio 705 at 11:00 am.
Youth Now newsletters
A quarterly newsletter which keeps the nation updated on the work of the department and young people's involvement in nation building.
Youth Reference Library
The Department boasts a growing Library, that provides information to students, teachers, adults and out of school youth on a wide selection of topics.
Youth Exchange
This programme provides opportunities to young people, regional and international travel. Young persons are observed as youth initiatives in other countries as well as sharing cultural experiences. Since its inception several youths have benefited.
National Youth Month
This time seeks to highlight the activities of young people during the year. It is celebrated annually: from the last week in September to the last week in October.
4-H Development
The Youth Affairs Department is charged with the responsibility for the development throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines. To date, the department has assisted with the establishment of over 20 clubs throughout the state. Clubs can vary from Georgetown to Fitz Hughes on the mainland and other islands in the Grenadines.
4-H Achievement Day
This day is given to the 4H Leadership Council and the Youth Department to highlight activities and projects undertaken by the clubs throughout the state.
Guidance and Counselling
The Youth Department provides guidance and counselling services for both in and out of school youths. Additionally, regular sessions are held at some Secondary Schools and Technical and Vocational Centres throughout the state.
